Nicole Palsa is a freelance writer and genealogist based in Nashville, Tennessee.

From using card catalogs and microfilm readers in libraries more than 20 years ago to untangling DNA matches and experimenting with the possibilities of AI today, Nicole’s research skills span a wide spectrum of uncovering both analog and digital records. With more than two decades of experience solving her own family mysteries, Nicole is passionate about helping others discover their heritage and breathe life into the stories of their ancestors.

As a music journalist, Nicole has written about the newcomers, superstars, and legends of country music for publications including Countrytown, Country Now, Music Mayhem, and Country Music Tattle Tale since 2012.

Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Virginia Commonwealth University.
